What a lovely summer we had this year—and just as lovely is this lady: Celtic Summer.

There are five of these charming ladies. Designer Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum started with ”Noel”, a lady wearing a red and gold robe, holding an advent wreath. Marilyn had so many requests for more designs of the kind that she created the four seasons. The stitching instructions are from Lavender & Lace.

I came across these five young women at a small quilt exhibition. One of the women there displayed her cross stitch works, and among them were five beautiful pictures. There was no one to ask at the time, and so I searched the internet as soon as I got home. It took quite some time but finally I found what I was looking for.

I couldn’t commit myself to stitch all four or even five pictures, and I needn’t to, of course. And since I cannot even now decide which of them is the most beautiful, I simply opted for summer because summer was ahead.

Doing such a big piece of cross stitching was very nice in between my quilting. And now that Celtic Summer is finished, and I like it a lot, I am resolved to do another. You may guess which one.
