Slowly but steadily, I am getting on with my New York Beauty Medallion quilt. I have now decided what pattern the last border should have.
Appliquéd leaves. The same I already used around the centre. But this time, I am appliquéing single leaves on single patches of fabric—which may be the reason why it takes me so long.
It’s hard to see any progress since I am not appliquéing leaves to a meandering twine, or any other pictorial pattern. Rather, I am piling these scrappy squares, hardly knowing how many I have and how many still to go.
But the weather still keeps me inside. Although some early flowers show their tiny happy faces, it is still rather cold and inhospitable outside. So I hopefully can make big progress this weekend.
